Joomla! is used all over the world to power everything from simple, personal homepages to complex corporate web applications. Just some of the ways people use this content management system:

Joomla! can be used to easily manage every aspect of your website, from adding content and images to updating a product catalog or taking online reservations.

Workshop for business people and companies:

We want to introduce Joomla! and concepts behind content management, take a tour of Joomla! as it appears out of the box, to familiarize ourselves with how it works and what is what.
We then build a web application, using only the features of Joomla! we really need. Once we have a base version of our site up, we then learn how to change its appearance and feature set to suit our particular requirements, including bringing it into line with an established corporate identity. At the end of the book we show how you can add your own extensions to Joomla!.
